Air passenger rights

What you are entitled to if your flight from Lanzarote is delayed or cancelled, and who to claim from (Regulation EC 261/2004).

Passenger rights

If your flight is badly delayed, cancelled or you are denied boarding for overbooking, Regulation (EC) 261/2004 gives you rights: information, assistance (food, drink, sometimes a hotel) and, depending on the case, financial compensation. You claim it from the airline, not the airport.

A nuance that matters in the Canaries: inter-island flights are also covered by the European regulation. Keep your boarding pass and any proof of the delay.
