Baggage and check-in at Lanzarote airport

The check-in desk and the security check are the two places where you lose time at an airport. The check-in cut-off is set by the airline, not AENA, and with low-cost ones it’s usually stricter than people expect.

Hand luggage. Dimensions and weight are set by each airline and vary a lot. What does not vary is the security liquids limit: containers of up to 100 ml, all inside a one-litre transparent bag, one per passenger. The exceptions are medicines and baby food, which must be declared.

A Canarian detail: on inter-island flights the times are shorter and people get complacent, but the security check is the same.
