The Aeronautical Museum at Lanzarote airport
The Aeronautical Museum of Lanzarote, in the former Guacimeta terminal (T2), inside the airport: what it is, what you can see and how to visit.
The Aeronautical Museum of Lanzarote
The Aeronautical Museum of Lanzarote is the museum devoted to the history of aviation in Lanzarote and the Canaries, housed in the airport’s original terminal (the Guacimeta one, from 1970). It is in the former Guacimeta terminal (Terminal 2), inside the airport grounds, so you can visit it within the airport itself — a curious plan for a long wait or a layover.
It runs through the history of aviation on the island and in the Canaries: how it went from the old Guacimeta terminal to today’s T1, with aircraft, models, navigation equipment and historic photography. Aena publishes the opening hours and visit conditions and they may change; it is best to confirm them before going.
