The terminal at Lanzarote airport
Lanzarote airport has two terminals. The T1, opened in 1999, handles practically all the traffic: flights to the islands and the Schengen area on one side, and flights leaving Schengen (the UK, etc.) on the other. The layout is simple: check-in and departures upstairs, arrivals and baggage reclaim downstairs.
The T2 is the former Guacimeta terminal and is used for some inter-island flights; it also houses the Aeronautical Museum of Lanzarote. The airport has a single runway (03/21, 2,400 m long).
